With 35 years of experience in residential design and drafting, I bring a wealth of knowledge and practical expertise to every project.  For 25 years, I had the opportunity to work with several reputable home design and construction companies before establishing my own business.  Throughout my career, I’ve been fortunate to work with companies that embraced 3D modeling technology (BIM). This experience strengthened my approach to design by requiring me to think beyond the drawings and model each home as it would actually be constructed.  I have a keen sense of spatial awareness, a strong appreciation for architectural design, and a passion for creating functional, well-designed living spaces.  For me, residential design is more than just a career — it’s a passion and a lifelong hobby. I take pride in bringing ideas to life through thoughtful design, practical planning, and attention to detail.

My passion for home design began in my teenage years, when I found myself naturally drawn to sketching floor plans and building models.  I received my formal education at a technical school and gained valuable hands-on knowledge of residential framing through my experience with Nelson Homes.  I began my career as an estimator, calculating construction costs and preparing material take-offs before transitioning into design and drafting.  Over the years, I have developed a wealth of experience working alongside wall, floor and roof system designers, engineers, and surveyors. These collaborative relationships have given me a well-rounded understanding of the many components involved in bringing a home design from concept to construction.

I work from your sketches, photos, needs, wants, and design ideas to create functional layouts paired with aesthetically pleasing elevations. To help you fully understand and visualize the finished result, I model every project in 3D, so you can see how the design will look and feel before anything is built.
